One of your business goals should always be to work faster and get better results with less effort. In this blog post, the Team at 2Sand.com will help you attain that goal by showing you how to manage your sander cords and hoses better.

Your electric sander not only needs to be plugged into an outlet, but it also needs to be attached to your dust system. Most modern dust extractors and better shop vacuums feature a plug near the hose inlet. This alone is a big help since now both the hose and cord are going to the same general location. Even so, managing either a cord or a hose is not too bad, but managing both at the same time can seem about as easy as herding cats. And if you work around cars, boats or RVs, the problem is only multiplied.

We’ve seen folks tape cords to hoses, use hook and loop straps, and even slices of PVC pipe to keep the cord and hose routed together as they work. While these options are creative, each has its drawbacks. Fortunately, 2Sand.com carries the Mirka line of sandpapers, sanders, dust extractors and hoses – this is a great advantage for you as Mirka sells their sander hose and cord already zipped up inside a very handy fabric sleeve. This ingenious system gives you instant control over cords and hoses! If you are buying new sanders anytime soon, or if you need new hose and cord for your existing sanders, this is the only way to go.

If you already own the sander and the hose, we won’t leave you to wrestle with them; you can purchase just the Mirka sleeve and use it to wrap the cord and hose you already own. It makes such a big difference; you will wonder how you ever managed both the cord and hose for your sander before the Mirka sleeve.

At a workbench, or when using a Downdraft Sanding Center like ours , hose and cord management can often be dealt with easily, but for large projects, on the job site, or working around vehicles, better control of the hoses and cords will undoubtedly help you work faster and get better results with less effort. And that should always be the goal.
