At this time of the year, many of us are searching for the sort of small items we can share with family, friends, and coworkers. Here at 2Sand.com, we think sanding supplies make awesome gifts and stocking stuffers, so we are proud to present our suggestions for your Holiday 2023 giving (or getting!). 

Our 2” polishing discs are excellent for cleaning and finishing bare metals, paint finishes and even polishing headlights. Available in grits from 500 to 4000, they have hook and loop backing for easy grit changes. The open cell foam construction makes them ideal for wet sanding and they can hold a large amount of water, solvent, or lubricant, as needed. 

The polishing discs work perfectly with our 2 inch Mandrel in drills and polishers. We highlighted this mandrel in our May 2023 blog. The mandrel comes with a 1/4” shaft and a hook and loop pad that works just as well with sanding discs as with the polishing pad. Because they can be used for both wet and dry sanding and polishing tasks means no one can really have too many on hand. 

Sometimes small blemishes need to be fixed before you can use polishing pads to finish a paint job; that is when this mini Denibbing File comes in handy. It was developed by Mirka specifically to cleanly remove nibs or other inclusions and smooth out runs and drips that may occur. It comes with both a course and a fine face to match the work needed. A pair of powerful magnets hold the file in the comfortable handle for easy use. 

If you find yourself with no idea what to give to that tradesperson on your gift list, these gum rubber cleaning sticks are useful to virtually anyone who uses sandpaper. It cleans sanding belts, sheets, and discs on most air powered or electric sanders, keeping them clean and extending the life of the abrasives. These cleaning sticks are very useful and do wear down in use, so getting one (or two!) as a gift is always appreciated.
